Je suis ravie de vous présenter le programme du séminaire « *Cultures visuelles socialistes et décolonisations / Socialist Visual Cultures and Decolonization* ». Ce séminaire étudie les formes visuelles nées des rencontres entre socialisme et décolonisation pendant la Guerre froide. En analysant la production, la circulation et la réception des images, il met en lumière la façon dont les nations concernées se sont approprié, ont transformé ou subverti les esthétiques socialistes, pour forger leurs propres identités culturelles et politiques au sein de l’espace transnational de la « mondialisation rouge » : www.inha.fr/agenda/seminaire-cultures-visuelles-socialistes-et-decolonisations/

I am delighted to share with you the program for the seminar “*Socialist Visual Cultures and Decolonization*.”
This seminar examines the visual forms that emerged from the encounter between socialism and decolonization during the Cold War. By analyzing the production, circulation, and reception of images, it highlights how the nations concerned appropriated, transformed, or subverted socialist aesthetics to forge their own cultural and political identities within the transnational space of “red globalization”.
