Le commerce et la circulation des objets d’art, 1792-1914 Ventes aux enchères, marchands, collectionneurs et musées Ce colloque international de trois jours se tiendra à Lyon, au musée des Beaux-Arts, du 25 au 27 septembre 2024. Il s’intéressera aux rôles des ventes aux enchères, des marchands, des collectionneurs et des musées dans la circulation des arts décoratifs entre 1792 et 1914. La première journée (10h30-17h30) débutera par une introduction de Daniel Alcouffe et une conférence d’ouverture de Tom Stammers. Trois sessions porteront sur les ventes aux enchères, les marchands de curiosités (antiquaires) et les marchands-décorateurs. Le deuxième jour (9h-17h30) sera consacré aux musées, aux collectionneurs et aux réseaux d’échanges transfrontaliers. Le troisième jour (9h-16h30) portera sur les relations entre le marché, le connoisseurship, la réception et la composition d’objets ; l’après-midi se terminera par une table ronde sur la recherche appliquée aux arts décoratifs et leurs marchés à l’ère numérique, qui présentera plusieurs projets, avec de brèves interventions de Mark Westgarth, Lynn Catterson, Koenraad Brosens et Anne-Sophie Radermecker.
