The archives of the League of Nations (SoN), fully digitized since 2022, represent an essential resource for an innovative transnational history of the Balkans between the World Wars. The region has long been studied through the prism of national history, or the relationship between Balkan states and the « Great Powers ». This symposium brings the role played by an international organization in the political, social and cultural transformation of the Balkans into the historiographical debate.
